360 Reality Audio Listening & 360 Virtual Mixing Environment Demo Event with Jakke

[Jakke] What's up y'all? Jakke here. We are at EastWest Studios where we are demoing my new EP. It's called All Ways, Always. Where people can experience my music through Sony’s 360 Reality Audio. 
[Visual Cue: Footage of the listening event, attendees network, connect, and take a part in the interactive audio experience.] 
[Kevin Woods] Les and myself, we mixed Jakke's new album in 360 Reality Audio. This allowed for Jake's full expression. His music sounding exactly how he wanted.

[Kevin Woods] 360 Reality Audio is a new music experience. It uses object-based technology and it allows for the mapping of sound to any speaker layout. Sound is infinite. You can have it below you or above you, full creative expression, unlike any other audio format. 
[Les Camacho] Any instrument, anywhere you want at any time. It's just musical, it really transcends. It's like a warm blanket, it envelops you. That's a beautiful thing. 
[Jakke] You have three dimensions to work with. Things can move. Top, bottom, behind. 
[Creators] You literally can hear it go to the back of your neck. Yeah yeah!

[Jakke] I remember the first time I heard a track in the studio at Sony mixed in this format, my mind was blown. Especially like my own music. It felt like I was in an immersive mirror. 
[Visual Cue: Music creators are experiencing 360VME demos and reacting positively.] 
[Kevin Woods] At this event, we're also offering a 360VME demo. 
[Creators] Oh my god... You're kidding. 
[Kevin Woods] 360 Virtual Mixing Environment is a technology that allows for you to take an acoustic environment with you, wherever you like. We do a custom HRTF measurement that's an in-ear measurement for how you hear. 
[Visual Cue: 360VME measurement experts undergoing the 360VME measurement process with music creators.] 
[Les Camacho] They measure and calibrate your ears with these microphones and they can replicate, for example, this room and get a picture of what this room sounds like acoustically, which means as a producer, I can start mixing with that profile from anywhere and that's when I realized I was like, Sony's doing something really cool. 
[Creators] It sounds like it genuinely is coming from the speakers. But it's all cans. It's amazing. Yeah. They felt like you didn't have headphones on. 
[Engineer] It’s not? 
[Creator] Yeah it’s not. Headphones... That’s a trip. Crazy. [Visual Cue: Audio Creators reacting to the 360RA experience] 
[Les Camacho] Now the consumer doesn't need 20 speakers. With 360VME they're able to just go here are my headphones, and I'm experiencing immersive on headphones. That's pretty incredible. 
[Kevin Woods] Our slogan is ‘For The Music’ We are here to support creators and allow for the full expression of their music through hardware and software technologies. [Jakke] The support that I have received from Sony is just like, unbelievable. It just opens up this whole new world for you.
