Sony Audio Institute at NYU: Shaping the Future of Music & Technology | Sony Official

[Visual Cue: Linda G. Mills, the President of New York University, gives a speech to attendees celebrating the joining of Sony and NYU. Multiple clips of the NYU campus, newly constructed sound lab, and event attendees play.]

[Linda G. Mills] Today, we come together to celebrate the joining of global powerhouses. Sony and NYU, two world renowned organizations, that for decades, have been at the vanguard with music, technology, and innovation.

[Visual Cue: Jack Knott, Dean of NYU Steinhardt, Larry Miller, Clinical Professor, and Hiroshi Nakamura, SVP of Sony Corporation, address the audience.]

[Jack Knott] It's great to see all of you here this morning on this historic occasion.

[Larry Miller] We launched the Sony Audio Institute.

[Audience: Wow, Beautiful!]

[Hiroshi Nakamura] This partnership reflects our shared commitments to investing in the next generation. We want students to have a space that supports creativity, collaboration, experimentation, and that can serve workshops, listening sessions, and other institute programming throughout the year.

[Kiran G.] Being able to be a student and also have a way to make a difference and work with such a well established company is exciting for me.

[Adam W.] It's really cool that NYU is partnering with Sony so that, you know, students can get more familiar with their products.

[Alanna M.] Obviously, Sony is a heritage brand in the audio space, and having a chance to collaborate is such an exciting opportunity that I think NYU students will really benefit from.

[Jordy F.] This is a 10 year program. We are in year one. When you combine all of this together, you have a unique opportunity, really, that hasn't been done in this way anywhere in industry and academia. So we're really excited and I'm truly excited to co-create with this next generation and the NYU team.

[Jack Knott] Thank you again to Sony for your vision, your trust, and your commitment to excellence.
